The finish is a satin wood print effect.
The lid has capacity for 12 each of table and dessert knives. These hold the Kings design pattern with ease which measure 247mm for the table knife and 220mm for the dessert knife. The base has 13 slots 10mm wide & 32mm deep for other cutlery items which hold between 3-6 items each and four 5mm wide for tea or coffee spoons. Check your cutlery dimensions as they vary. Two bars of holders are used for stability of cutlery retention.
