Intro~ Electro Plated Nickel Silver, also known as EPNS or silver plate cutlery is the finest cutlery available. It is manufactured to last for generations and in many cases can be refurbished to a high standard even after years of use.

Our silver plated cutlery is all made here in the city of Sheffield using traditional methods to produce some of the finest cutlery in the world.

The nickel refers to the blank base metal which is made of 10% nickel. Used in silver service and fine dine hotels and restaurants the world over, EPNS is the standard by which all other tableware is measured.

The appeal of EPNS lies in it's beautiful silver finish. The silver plate can either be 20 or 35 microns in thickness with 20 micron being standard. 20 microns is guaranteed for 30 years with 35 microns guaranteed for 50 years.
